I made all the animation in this project. The project finished in 1 month and installed in Istanbul Cevahir Shopping Mall.
I worked in this project as main game artist and video composer.
In this work, i imagined that what would to be Van Gogh had seen when he was painting his most famous work “Bedroom in Arles”. I wanted to present a probability of an alternative space for his bedroom by follow his fashion of art and invite the audience to a visual show by carrying his painting to a 3D and interactive space.
This artwork brings a metaphor to life: The canvas is a window which establishes a communication between artist and audience. The space that excluded by the painter meets with audience. Canvas turns into a transparent glass with eternal depth of field from flat surface of it.
The original painting completed in Adobe Photoshop, it transfered into 3D with Autodesk 3DsMax and Autodesk Mudbox, and baked to present in Unity 3D game engine.

From the ancient civilizations to the modern world, we see advertisement in our daily life. Obviously it has an impact on trade world. However, in our times, they are everywhere from walls to our pockets in the digital form. They seem like out of control. It is difficult to predict the future of it, I tried to ciritisize the pressing advertisment of our modern ages since 1900’s.
The first types of advertisement, billboards, can be seen in people's life since ancient civilization. In the Follow Up Advertisement, I aimed to digitilize the classical billboard but still keep its primitive form. Therefore, this primitive form is more annoying and abusive than ever before.
I used an “Arduino board" for programming, a curtain rod, a motor and its driver, a wheel and a simple transparent box.
I used a usb video camera and opencv libary in C++ for the software. Codes written by my brother Ozan Cihangir.
Accepted to Borders and Orbits Competition and presented in Siemens Art (2013)
Significative of being is the place, space and moment. Constant which is surrounded by the variables creates the universal space that is removing the borders. Now it is not this side nor that side, both this side and that side... It is only the moment without borders.

He was born in 1991 in Istanbul. He studied Painting at the studio of Devabil Kara in Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and studied Media, Art&Design at Bauhaus University(Weimar-Germany) as an exchange student between 2011 and 2012. He focused on the field of New Media and Digital Art by the influence of Bauhaus. He took part in several movies and tv-series as designer in Frame-Tale. He also worked with amberPlatform in amberFestival’13 as an artist and helped with organization. He worked at Codemodeon Game Studio between 2014-2016. In this company, he was responsible of mostly 3D art&design, 2D graphics, motion graphics, Arduino based interaction and video compositing.
Currently, he is co-founder LazyLab Game Studio where he develops VR games in.
His works have been exhibited in AmberFestival’13, Siemens Sanat(Borders and Orbits’13), Bauhaus University (Summary’12), Zilberman Gallery (GYF 2016). Currently, he lives and works in Istanbul.
